Still Enjoying The Sun

Works began to an outside area of the home three months ago in order to have the project finalized before the summer.

The outside landing was repaired, the handrails refurbished and the whole painted. Then benches and tables were renewed and varnished to make them suitable. The integral bench style seating was removed to enable chairs and wheelchairs to get close to the tables.

A new fence was installed along with a gate and lock to provide additional security.

It now looks marvelous and is a welcome addition to the facilities of the home. As can be seen from the photos the patio is a very popular place with residents eating, drinking and sunbathing to their evident enjoyment. Aicha Fagan our new Activities Co-coordinator is the prime mover behind this happy situation.
